Meet fear, sometimes he's big, sometimes he's small, but never worry; you're not the only one with a little friend called fear.
As little ones grow they become increasingly emotionally aware, but emotions are big concepts. This glorious story book is an essential for any little one. We've found this pivotal in explaining the notion of fear to our youngest daughter. This helps to explain the concept of fear, to show that it has its purpose, that it's not to be ignored, but that it's not to control you. It encourages little ones to see a big concept as something far easier to visualise and discuss.
A heart-warming tale that shows the importance of sharing our fears.
Hardback.
Great as a gift for a pre-schooler.
Why not team with The Colour Monster Pop Up Book
Not only it is well written and bautifully illustrated, but it is also a lovely read with many dimensions, that can help start useful chats with children. Fear and how it impacts our lives (sometimes for the best! I really liked how it was so well nuanced), but also how it feels to be lonely, to feel different and to not fit (a useful conversation for us as there are quite a few new kids in my daughter's school this year). My daughter really enjoys it and I'm delighted to have something which can help talk about complicated concepts in an eaisier and engaging way. Thanks Gemma for this find and for sharing it with us x
