The Denim Care guide

Denim is one of the most versatile, timeless fabrics in your wardrobe — from everyday essentials to statement pieces like our Ottie Denim Trousers. But denim only looks and feels its best when it’s cared for properly.

Whether you’re reaching for your favourite jeans, jackets, or denim sets, this denim care guide will help you keep your pieces looking fresh, vibrant, and wearable for years to come.

Cold Wash & Gentle Cycle

When it’s time for a wash how you wash matters.

  • Turn denim inside out to protect colour vibrancy
  • Use cold water to prevent shrinking and fading
  • Select a gentle cycle to protect fibres. If the spin is too vigorous fibres can wear or react by shrinking

Treat your denim like the new best friend it wants to be - with a little extra consideration and care.

Dry Carefully

Air-drying is best:

  • Lay flat or hang by the waistband
  • Avoid tumble dryers — heat shrinks and distorts denim
  • Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading

Why Proper Denim Care Matters

Caring for your denim isn’t just about maintenance — it’s about protecting your investment, your style, and the planet.

Less frequent washing, careful drying, and mindful storage means your wardrobe staples, like jeans, jackets, interest denim, last longer and look better every season.
